The choice of whether or not to reveal one’s sexual preference is a private one. But what about politicians living in the closet who work to advance anti-gay-rights legislation? Don’t they deserve to be exposed? That’s the thesis of Outrage. The big fish, of course, is Florida Governor Charlie Crist, and while director Kirby Dick finds no smoking gun in the Crist case, he is ultimately after a larger point about the vicious cycle of our public discourse.
