Who cares if there’s nothing good to see at the movies right now, there’s honestly never been a better time to sit in silence inside a dark, freezing cold room with a lap full of snacks.

In honor of National Cinema Day, Tampa Bay theaters will offer severely discounted movies tickets this weekend. On Saturday, Sept. 3, tickets to dozens of local shows at theaters throughout the area will be just $3.

A quick scan of the site showed $3 tickets to see “Bullet Train” over at AMC Westshore,  which is a completely fair price for a “splat-level” film on Rotten Tomatoes.

Not every theater is participating, but most of the big ones are, like AMC and Regal Cinemas. Check the dedicated website, to browse either by film or by theater.
