All artists and arts organizations are invited to a monthly networking series presented by the Arts Council. It’s a great opportunity to see a local gallery space, meet artists and talk to other people who are involved in local arts.
This month, the event spotlights popular south Seminole Heights gallery, Tempus Projects, which is celebrating its 5th anniversary. Established in 2009, Tempus has presented more than 36 exhibitions featuring the work from more than 190 artists and collaborators. This is a great chance to see their current exhibition, Slacktide, which features new work by Tampa-based artists Matthew Squires and Chris Kelly. The show focuses on multiple layers and methods of printmaking processes. Info about the ongoing projects, including the adjoining artist-run QUAID Gallery, will also be provided.
Wed., Feb. 11, 6 p.m., 4636 N. Florida Ave. Tampa, free admission. Free off-street parking is available at the front of the building along N. Florida Avenue, on the south side of W. Curtis and at the rear of the property accessible from the alley.
