Ballet dancers perform on stage in front of a backdrop depicting stone arches and a garden scene. A group of dancers in pastel costumes gather around a box at center stage, while another dancer in a blue dress balances on pointe with one leg extended gracefully to the side. A table decorated with flowers and a cake is set in the background, creating a festive atmosphere.

A new season kicks off at the New Tampa Performing Arts Center with a no-cover three-day festival that kicks off Friday.

Backstage tours are just part of the package along with a screening of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” plus dance from the likes of Tampa City Ballet, which performs with St. Pete Opera on Sunday. Jazz, Hillsborough College musicians and a solo piano set from Vincent Pham and the Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival are also on the schedule.
