Soon you’ll be able to see the man behind the microphone.

Ira Glass, the host and producer of NPR’s “This American Life,” will give a presentation on Jan. 25 at the Mahaffey Theater, 400 first St. S. The performance is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

During the event, which is titled “Seven Things I’ve Learned: An Evening with Ira Glass,” the radio host will discuss his creative process and workflow using video, music and audio clips. Glass will also mix stories during the performance.

Planned talking points include Glass’ inspiration and the lessons he’s learned through his career.

Tickets to the event range from $23.50 for standard seating to $153.50 for the VIP experience, which includes complimentary beer, wine, appetizers and a reception with Glass before the show.

Tickets are free to the first 40 USF St. Petersburg students who register online.
