Sunday, Sept. 19, is Talk Like A Pirate Day.

The Galley at Gaspar’s Grotto, the new pirate-themed restaurant attached to the Grotto, commemorates the occasion with a new menu, new chef Craig Smith, complimentary food and drinks and a full week of “outrageous” parties.

The swashbuckling holiday kicks off seven days of merry mayhem, which include a Sunday brunch, revelry with the Krewe of Seville, a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mayor Pam Iorio, live music by Southside Serenade, rum and cigar parties, wine and margarita tastings, a doggy pirate-costume party and other kooky, this-could-only-happen-in-Tampa-style fun stuff.
