Ybor Art Studio and Live Art After Dark have joined forces for Wimmin of the Pit and The Danse Du Fête to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. So join other good souls and partake in fun festivities for a good cause—there’s everything from belly dancers to artists, face and body painters, food, wine, beer, and musicians. Welcome to On the Radar, where we preview up-and-coming arts events to mark your calendar for. Behold! There are two stimulating reasons to go to Ybor this weekend (that don’t involve belligerent drinking and booty calls).

First up, the Silver Meteor Gallery shows This is Our Youth, penned by Analyze This and Gangs of New York writer Kenneth Lonergan. The story follows Warren, a troubled 19-year-old boy who is on the run with $15,000 stolen from his abusive father. Oh yeah, and his mentor is a drug dealer—I just love those wise drug dealers.
