Andrea's Sip for Life Nosh on tapas and drink wine while helping find a cure for a form of pediatric cancer. More than 150 premium wines from Spain, California and South America will be featured during the event to benefit pediatric sarcoma research. Andrea’s Sip for Life was created by Columbia Restaurant President Richard Gonzmart, who was touched by the story of Andrea Dicks Hartley (pictured above, right), a young mother and Moffitt patient who lost her battle to sarcoma cancer in August 2006 at the age of 30. She left behind her then 2-and-a-half-year-old daughter. The event, created and named in Andrea’s honor, requires a $100 donation per person to attend. All proceeds will support the Pediatric Sarcoma Fund at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. For reservations, call 813-248-3000, ext. 24. For more information, visit columbiarestaurant.com. Fri., March 4, 7-10 p.m. Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water St., Tampa. 813-228-0097. tampabayhistorycenter.org.
