We’re more than halfway to Halloween, so pumpkin spice season is practically just around the corner. Whatever costume you think up now will be irrelevant by Oct. 31, but you can start getting in the spooky spirit.

The Paranormal investigators at Spirits of St. Petersburg host this hands-on table tipping class in the supposedly haunted VFW Post 39. The Victorian séance ritual—where participants put their hands on a table and use its movements to interpret communication from the spirit world—led to the creation of the Ouija board.

Podcaster Jamie Loftus covered the practice and the famous Fox sisters who popularized it in her 2022 investigative podcast, “Ghost Church.” And Sprits of St. Petersburg lead investigator Brandy Stark recently talked table tipping on The X Zone podcast.

Tickets are $30 for Table Tipping at VFW #39 happening Sunday, May 24 in St. Petersburg.
