Ringing Hell's bells: Rays rookie rocks in 8-0 shutout against Detroit

Hats off to the farm boys up in North Carolina, as players recently called up from the Durham Bulls – the Tampa Bay Rays’ Triple-A affiliate – made the evening in the shutout win against the Detroit Tigers 8-0. Rays Rookie Jeremy Hellickson looked even better than his debut last Monday, which was incredible by all accounts. Dan Johnson tied a Rays record with 4 walks and scored two runs, in addition to an amazing stretch to snag the throw from Ben Zobrist and complete a 6-4-3 double play in the seventh inning. Mike Eckstrom closed out the ninth to cap a great night for the farmhands.
