Gulf Coast artist Scott Owen Pierce may not be a name you know yet, but you should know it soon — his work examines the "mechanical and conceptual qualities of photography," according to HCC's Gallery 221's press on the exhibit . Oh, didn't we mention there's an exhibit there? Yep, there is — and his work there looks (pun intended) at the flaws of vision, the nature of vision, how human perception works and human memory. His exhibition with Gallery 221@HCC explores the nature and flaws of vision, the mechanics of human perception, and memory. Pierce has an MFA from USF — he graduated last year — so this is local art come home.  Make time to take a look at this oft-forgotten gallery.
