Yup, it’s about 100º in the shade, but yes, we’re thinking about Halloween already. So is Matthew McGee and the folks at freeFall Theatre, which is why they’re bringing you Miss McGee's Creature Feature: weekly installations of movies that, well, maybe aren’t that scary, but they’re fun to scream at. This week, Matthew McGee’s gonna make you scream like you mean it when he brings “part Elvira and part Mystery Science Theatre 3000” and, one can assume, part smart-ass comments as only a true drag queen can deliver, to this not-for-young-ears film night. They’ll also have trivia, games and concessions, which includes a full bar.

Here's what's on tap this week:

Fright Night Teenage Charley Brewster (William Ragsdale) loves him some scary movies, so when quiet, introverted Jerry Dandridge (Chris Sarandon) moves in next door, he assumes he's a vampire, because all quiet people must be up to something, right? But Brewster's one of those guys (probably doesn't think we landed on the moon, either, now that we think about it) and no one believes him. Of course, some strange shit starts to happen and Brewster seeks out a has-been television vampire killer, Peter Vincent (Roddy McDowall).

Now, let's think… what could possibly be in this movie McGee could mock?

It's rated R, but even if it wasn't, it'd be rated R after McGee and company got done with it.

Wear costumes, please, but no masks or props in the theater, because, well, have you seen the news lately?
