So your basketball career is over, where do you go?

Why you hire a rogues gallery of comedians and go on tour, duh. Well that's what Man-of-Steel Shaquille O'Neil has done. This media leaping power center is bringing what's ostensibly a trainload of hysterics to a venue near you, if you have 40 to 50 dollars to blow.

Now, I know what you're going to say, "Shaq isn't funny." But I point you to his rendition as the Superman wanna-be B-flick from the '90s. That's comedy! Despite its disavowing of the actual Superman Dies storyline, it's obviously ripped from that comic and completely rewritten.

But I digress.

Your views of Shaq's comedic talents notwithstanding, he has hired a pretty good lineup of comics. Aries Spears, Deray Davis, and Cedric The Entertainer. OK I'm fibbing here, I can't stand Cedric. I kind of feel he has to add "The Entertainer" to his name to remind you what he's trying to do. However, many love him.

This performance is also being filmed and will be on television at least clips of it. So if you're camera shy, or you simply can't stand Cedric, you might want to sit this one out.

It all goes down at at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. Visit rutherckerdhall.com for ticket info. The "I want to miss it party" is at my house, BYOB, and bring some for your host, of course. Oh, and bring Cheetos.
