There was nothing funny about Helene or Milton, but some laughter will raise money for hurricane victims.

Side Splitters Comedy Club will hold benefits at both of its locations to benefit victims of both storms. Shows on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Wesley Chapel location, and the show in Tampa on Wednesday, Oct. 30 are designated as benefit shows, with some offering drink specials, silent auctions, and other events designed to raise money.

The Wesley Chapel shows feature nationally-touring comedian Sam Miller, and the Tampa show is a showcase with a number of professionals, including previous Best of the Bay winners Rahn Hortman and Helen Keaney.

Tampa Bay comedians care about the community, so other shows are being planned to help victims as well, and we’ll keep you informed as they’re scheduled. But these are among the first opportunities to have a much-needed laugh and help those who have been devastated by back-to-back natural disasters.

The Oct. 26, Wesley Chapel shows are at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets start at $20 and are available here.

The Oct. 30, Tampa show is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $28 and are available here.
