Catherine Durkin Robinson is a handful, creating quite a scene over at Out in Left Field.

I’m sick of hearing about philandering husbands.

As a society, we’ve invented so many reasons to get upset, create a scene, destroy ourselves and each other. Isn’t life in general and marriage in particular difficult enough?

John Edwards, Mark Sanford, Tiger Woods and now more recently, Sandra Bullock’s husband, Jesse James, have been in the news for cheating on their wives. Tiger Woods entering therapy while his estranged wife is photographed with or without her wedding ring has kept the tabloids busy for months.

Now they can move on to stalking Sandra Bullock and her family.

There is a way for these celebrity couples to stop the nonsense once and for all. Political wives should listen up, too.

It would be great if, just once, women refused to play the victim. If they rose up in televised press conferences all over the country and said, loud and proud,

“Yes, I know he had sex outside the marriage and I’m fine with it. Shit happens.”
