If you, like us, love heading to the Morean to check out the art, then you, like us, will no doubt be thrilled to get in deeper with the artists with this series of artist talks. The talks highlight the art at the Morean and offer deeper insight into the artists, art and the processes that connect them both.

The Yin & Yang of Climate Change on May 31 features artist Richard Jacobs. Jacobs calls himself a "lawyer by training … photo explorer by passion." He shoots photos while he travels, and they're definitely not your garden-variety Insta photos. He also thinks everyone can be a "Planeteer" — humans who love the natural world and use that love to make our planet a better place. He'll explain more at his talk.

THURSDAY May 31: 6:30 p.m.

In Water Over the Bridge: Contemporary Seascapes on June 6, Babs Reingold and Kate Helms will talk about their studio practice, yes, but also they'll talk about how environmental threats inform their respective bodies of work.

WEDNESDAY June 6: 6:30 p.m.

Artist Leslie Neumann will talk about her solo show, Manna from Heaven … and Earth and its environmental side. Her work juxtaposes nature's inherent beauty with current events that put it in danger.

THURSDAY June 21: 6 p.m.

Check out the full list of talks here.

All talks are free, but have a cash bar. They take place at the Morean Arts Center, 719 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.
