We’re still in the head of summer, but Off-Central Players has set the stage for its 2023-2024 season with the announcement of four shows.

The nonprofit arts organization—located at 2260 1st Ave S—has been performing in St. Pete since 2021.

Early bird tickets are now available for its season opener, Duncan MacMillan’s “Every Brilliant Thing,” a solo performance with Dylan Barlow reprising his role as the Narrator, running from Sept. 7-17.

St. Pete’s own William Leavengood, writer of over two dozen various works including plays, novels and screenplays, will premiere his newest work “Ghost Stories from Yellowstone” from Oct. 5-15, showcasing a story of a family struggling to find ways to overcome their own demons and heal together.

Off-Central Players is a;sp still looking for thespians to audition for select roles in the final two shows of the season, “No Exit” and “Scrooge MacBeth.”

“No Exit” is the depiction of the afterlife as shown through three characters who have been locked in a room together for eternity. The show was first brought to the stage in 1946 by Jean-Paul Sartre, and will run with at Off-Central from Nov. 9-19.

Curtains draw to a close with Scrooge Macbeth by David MacGregor from Dec. 7-17. Seemingly the play where everything goes wrong, a theater company is about to put on Shakespeare’s” A Winter’s Tale” when all but four actors come down with food poisoning, with an anxious audience waiting outside the door.
