Usually it’s taboo to go out in public in your pajamas, but one day a year it could get you some nice discounts in downtown St. Petersburg.
The 53rd annual Sunrise Sale returns Thursday, July 16, turning downtown into what organizers call St. Pete’s largest pajama party. More than 40 participating stores span from the Trop to North Shore Park, offering one day deals, early morning specials, and surprise giveaways.
Attendees are encouraged to wear pajamas and “those who do are often treated to extra discounts or small gifts,” per the Downtown Business Association.
Yellow flags mark stores participating in the deals starting at the literal sunrise (6:43 a.m.), including Grassroots Kava, Birch & Vine, and Plain Jane.
The Museum of Fine Arts’ sale includes 20% off everything in its gift shop, with an additional 10% off MFA members.
A full list of vendors, additional information, and updates will be available through the Downtown Business Association social media.
