Attention, artists and pack rats. St. Petersburg’s Warehouse Arts District Association is raising money for its proposed hub of creativity by hosting the Art Exchange for the ArtsXchange.
If you have a piece of art that recalls unpleasant memories of an ex, or was gifted to you but you were too polite to refuse or regift it, bring it in and exchange it for an artwork you like better — plus free admission to the fundraiser party.
If you don’t wish to bring anything, simply make a $10 donation in support of the renovations at the ArtsXchange. There’ll be live and silent auctions, too, and St. Pete architect Andy Hayes of Hayes Cumming Architects will reveal a model of the planned renovations of the 50,000-square-foot ArtsXchange.
But the biggest star of this show is Jacob (pictured above), an equine painter from the St. Petersburg Police Department mounted patrol.
