Tomorrow evening CUNSTHAUS will host the opening reception of 'GUCHI,' presenting recent works by Johanna Keefe.

Free and open to the public, the reception at the Seminole Heights gallery will be held on May 18 from 7-9p.m.

The show will run from May 18 through June 29th.

In this exhibition, Keefe explores the structure of object acquisition from the 17th century to present day, specifically the currency and value of luxury brands from Italy and their relationship to historical trade systems.

“GUCHI is a brand created by the artist to better investigate the visual language and impact of this brutality through an investigation of utilitarian objecthood, image making, and desire.”

Swing by, bring cash for a few beers to enjoy while you take a look at 'GUCHI.'
