Shuffle may have been shafted on its federal restaurant aid grant, but that’s not stopping the Tampa Heights bar and restaurant from doing its part to try and improve the lives of others.

This weekend, Shuffle plays host to a fundraiser and raffle supporting Florida Engineering Leadership Institute (FELI), which is raising money to bring more free WiFi to low income communities via stand-alone public hotspots powered by the sun. Each tower costs about $6,000 to start and run for one year, and FELI is pretty damn close to reaching its goal for the first tower.

DJ Jetfuel and the Black Eagle Band provide the tunes.

Saturday, July 24, 7 p.m. Shuffle. 2612 N Tampa St., Tampa. towerispower.com
