The Tampa Bay International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival starts Pride month off with a bang with their drag extravaganza at the Palladium Theater June 1. “The Evolution of Drag — Drag Through the Decades!” is drag professional Daphne Ferraro’s multimedia live show focused on the history of drag performance and culture, highlighting the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. The event is a fundraiser for the TIGLFF’s 30th anniversary celebration to take place this October. The show takes the audience in a journey throughout the decades of drag through eyes of a drag queen herself, in an interactive, quite literally in-your-face celebration of LGBT entertainment.
Daphne Ferraro, the Glamazonian queen and producer of the show is joined by ten of the Tampa Bay’s top queens.
Daphne Ferrara hosts “The Evolution of Drag-Drag Through the Decades!” for TIGLFF Sat. June 1 at 8pm. The Palladium Theater. 253 5th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710.
