Have a working vehicle and want to spread a little love this Thanksgiving? Meals on Wheels Tampa gives you that chance. Thanksgiving Day Delivery invites new and veteran drivers to deliver a special gift of handmade cards and sweets to more than 800 homebound seniors and disabled.

You can even make it a new family tradition, as kids are welcome to jump on board and help out. Many of the individuals receiving MOW packages spend the holiday alone, so a smiling face and a fat bag of food makes for a pleasant visit.

Just a heads up, all first-time volunteers must complete an application and attend an orientation prior to delivering — so jump on it if you’re interested.

Volunteers deliver packs Thanksgiving morning between 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Meals on Wheels of Tampa, 550 W Hillsborough Ave., Tampa. mowtampa.org
