Tampa Bay Watch hosts Tarpon Rodeo

Sport fishing and caring about the environment aren't mutually exclusive — in fact, recreational anglers have more incentive to keep Florida green than usual. The Tampa Bay Watch Tarpon Rodeo is a great way to support both, as the proceeds from this half-day catch-and-release tournament help fund the nonprofit's education and restoration programs. The tourney begins with a shotgun start at Fort De Soto's boat ramp at 2 p.m. on Friday; the winners will be announced at the "Castaway Soiree" at St. Pete Beach's Tradewinds Island Resort, starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
