Written by William Shakespeare and made better by the help of some heavy pours, “Drunken Shakespeare” is coming to Tampa next month.

ThinkTank Theatre’s “Drunken Shakespeare” happens at Dark Door Spirits distillery, located at 6608 Anderson Rd. in northwest Tampa and marks the end of ThinkTank’s summer series. It promises a night of poems and pours, sonnets and sips. Directed by Brianna Larson, the show aims to make Shakespeare a little more accessible and entertaining for all audiences. It runs for just one weekend only on July 8-9.

Despite the boozy focus, all ages are welcome. General admission tickets are $30, while those under 21 can get tickets for $20. The open-air venue has limited seating, so admission is first come, first serve.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with an array of adult beverages and happy hour specials. The show starts at 7 p.m.

More information about the show and ThinkTank Theatre can be found at tanktya.org with tickets available via Eventbrite.
