This week on the season finale of The Glee Project, the contenders had to prove their “Glee-ality” when series creator Ryan Murphy judged the final Homework Challenge himself. As the performance of the ultimate Glee anthem, Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing,” began, the vocals of the final four — Samuel, Alex, Lindsay, and Damien — were sounding flat, so Ryan stopped them and called in some backup. In rushed all of the fallen Glee Project contenders and brief-but-heartfelt reunions ensued. At the end of the performance Ryan revealed that there wouldn’t be a winner this week, and each of the final four would be featured in a group video for Pink’s “Raise your Glass.”
During the video, all the contenders (including those eliminated) danced and had a gay old time on a helipad atop an LA skyscraper. No one seemed to have much trouble, except Samuel who was too much in his head in the recording studio. Not that how they performed during the Homework Challenge or the video really mattered, since all four of the finalists would be doing last-chance performances regardless of how well they did …
