Today Flip and Bill podcast live (well it was live when we did it, smarty-pants) at Buccaneer training camp 2010 to get all up close and personal with the team we simultaneously love and have been railroading for almost a year. Today, we parked our sweaty asses down with our high-performance recording equipment and touched on many subjects concerning the new season and shared our unique perspective with you, the dedicated loyal yet endlessly frustrated fan. We know, because we are one of you. Except we have much more time to waste invest. Here's a sample size of the gum-bumping fun.
Who the hell are these guys? It's difficult to give the second year quarterback Josh Freeman an accurate criticism if he persistently overthrows players like Ben Dover, Hugh Jazz, and Dick Burns. Yeah, well Josh overthrew them anyway and we discuss.
Eleven on eleven goal-line drills. We get our half-assed play-by-play on as the starters go mano-a-mano. We never know who to root for. If the defense stuffs the run behind the line of scrimmage are we supposed to applaud the defense on the stop or chew our nails to the nub for such anemic offense? One thing's for certain, the cheerleaders are hot (Hey, that one totally waved at me).
Sweet baby Jesus, it's hot. Seriously, and we're parked motionless under a tent. Strapping on 30 pounds-o-pads and running into giant sweaty men on a sunny August 95 degree inferno is a hell-on-earth we'd rather avoid, thank you very much. Whatever these boys are being paid, it isn't enough (seriously, the Bucs are 32nd in payroll).
