If Chappell Roanโ€™s dramatic pop anthems have been on repeat lately, Maris (stylized in all-caps) is the next artist to keep on your radar.

The L.A.-based singer leans into bold hooks and glittering synths, but grounds the tunes with lyrics that cut closer to the bone. Sharing the bill is Florida-born Caroline Kingsbury, whose raw storytelling makes her one of the more intriguing young voices in indie-pop today. Together, the pair brings a mix of theatricality and vulnerability to Ybor City for an intimate but high-energy night of music.

Tickets to see Maris and Caroline Kingsbury perform at Crowbar in Ybor City on Sept. 21 are still available and go for $27.19.
