We all miss Ben Montgomery's in-depth journalism, but we do have some good news: If you're itching for a bit of Ben, you can get it this weekend when the formerly-local author returns home for a backwards pub crawl.

Wait, what? Yup, it's a pub crawl where everyone walks backwards together (because walking gets easier the more you drink) from one pub to the next.

Wait, why? To celebrate the release of Montgomery's new book, The Man Who Walked Backward. The walk starts at The Hub, then progresses to Fly Bar and Restaurants and Hidden Springs Ale Works. The night wraps with a party at Inkwood Books, where the Pulitzer-Prize winning writer will sign books and do his best to charm the crowd (spoiler alert: he usually does).

And, as if a bunch of drunk people walking backwards through Tampa Heights isn't attention-getting enough, organizers encourage people to dress in Prohibition-themed attire (this also ties into the book). Then again, it's Tampa Heights. It's possible no one will even bat an eye.
