The Toronto Raptors will play at least a portion of next season in Tampa, and while they probably won’t change their official name or logo, at least one can dream.

This afternoon, Toronto-based designer Luc Samanski posted a mockup of a potential Tampa Raptors jersey to his Instagram, and well, it’s basically perfect.

The pink and blue jersey is similar to the original Raps get up, except for the obvious name and color change, and the subtle and perfect addition of the shades and a Hawaiian shirt on the dinosaur.

“Like most people during the beginning of the Covid-19 lockout I was extremely bored and was looking for things to keep me from going crazy,” says Samanski on his site. “So I decided to begin a project for fun that combined both my two biggest passions in life sports and design. I began by redesigning every NFL teams jerseys, then NBA teams, then NHL and after that I began creating my own fictitious pro sports teams.”

Samanski’s other designs also draw from television and film, and include a Simpsons-inspired “Space Fox” jersey, a Skrek design, a Seinfeld hockey jersey and a Jurassic Park Raptors jersey, to name a few.

You can support him by visiting his store, or by contracting him out for special projects. You listening, Masai Ujiri?
