Halloween comes early to Ybor City this year thanks to the historic district’s 9th annual Fantasma Fest which happens Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 23-24.

The festivities include kid-friendly celebrations on Saturday thanks to a “Little Monsters Pumpkin Patch” in Centro Ybor with free pumpkins for kids happening from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Several of the district’s businesses will also offer trick-or-treat for kiddos.

The adults can have fun at Fantasma Fest, too, thanks to the return of the “Big Monsters Bed Race”—where teams race jury-rigged beds down 7th Avenue—also happening on Saturday from 3 p.m.-6 p.m.

And if you’re making it a weekend, Fantasma Fest also features a Sunday “Hell on Wheels” classic car and motorcycle show where parts of 7th Avenue will be shut down for the roughly 200 vehicles participating.

Centro Ybor is located on 8th Avenue between 17th and 19th Streets in historic Ybor City.
