A three-day tattoo convention and competition gets off the ground in downtown Tampa starting Friday when Ink the Bay arrives at the convention center. There are daily tattoo contests (no blood), a pinup contest—judged by a four-person panel that includes Miss Tampa Pinup 2019 Mayzie Mac—on Saturday, but the rest of the weekend also promises aerialists, pole fitness demos, bands, DJs plus dozens of tattoo artists from across the country introduced on the convention’s Instagram page (@inkthebay).

June 11-13 (doors 1 p.m., noon and 10 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively). $15-$20 (kids 0-3 free; 4-14 years old, $10). Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St., Tampa. inkthebay.com
