Busch Gardens’ latest roller coaster, Tigris, was ranked among the top new attractions in the country by USA Today readers.
According to the publication’s 10 Best list, which is based on polling from its readers, Tigris was ranked no. 3 among 2020’s best new attractions. It’s worth noting that it was also the top new roller coaster of 2020, according to USA Today.
For the unfamiliar, Tigris is billed by the park as “Florida’s tallest launch coaster.” With a max speed of 60 mph, Tigris takes riders forward, backward, down drops, over loops, and under twists on 1,800 feet of track for a quick and efficient way to spew.
But Tigris wasn’t alone. Two other Florida attractions also made the cut. SeaWorld Orlando’s new Sesame Street Land took the number one spot, while Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure in Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure was number seven.
Noticeably absent from this list was any mention of any new Disney attractions. Sorry, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. However, Florida had the most new attractions mentioned in USA Today’s list, while no other state had more than one included.
