Need a Tampa verbena to help bring butterflies to your garden? How about a pitcher plant or orchid? Ginger? Maybe a fruit tree?

You’re probably going to want to go to the nonprofit, member-supported Botanical Garden at USF, which is hosting its Summer Plant Festival this weekend. There’ll be a Saturday talk about growing orchids, and Beekeeping 101 will happen at noon on Sunday.

Admission is $5, but kids under 12 get in free, which is cool since there’ll be a free children’s activity area, too. Lucky’s Hot Dog Cart will also be on site if you need delicious boiled meat (or vegan dogs).

Summer Plant Festival, Sat.-Sun., June 22-23. 10 a.m.. $5 (kids under 12 free). gardens.usf.edu.
