AI has officially saturated the art market. You can’t scroll through Etsy or even stroll through some IRL markets without having to examine something for signs of slop.
But there are still humans out there making and printing real art. University of South Florida’s Graphicstudio is a great place to find said art, especially at its yearly open house and benefit sale.
The 58-year-old printmaking workshop offers rare prints and sculptures by contemporary artists at 10%-40% off list price.
Graphicstudio artists use traditional hand-printing processes, including relief, etching, photogravure, screenprinting and lithography. Bronze cast sculptures will also be available. Graphicstudio’s collaborative printers will conduct live intaglio demonstrations throughout the day.
A limited number of impressions from each edition will be available, so guests are encouraged to arrive early.
