Get out to McCormick's Cable Park in Seffner and check out local athletes compete in the tournament series for the 2012 National Points Chase, a wakeboard competition held at 13 different parks nationwide. McCormick’s Cable Park in Seffner has been holding weekly events since the end of June and will culminate with the region championship on Tuesday, Aug. 7.
“It’s a chance for some of our up-and-coming wakeboarders, along with local pros, to compete against each other in something they do usually do for fun out here,” said Kyle McCutchen, who is in his third year as an employee at McCormick’s.
The Points Chase is in its third year and the national championship will be held at the Barefoot Ski Ranch in Waco, Texas. Last season, the finals were held at McCormick’s.
On Tuesday, there were a bunch of wakeboarders of all skill levels competing in beginner, intermediate, advanced and pro divisions.
