MUBI.com has a round up of critics reviews for Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, Lynn Ramsay's We Need to Talk About Kevin, Gus Van Sant's Restless and Julia Leigh's Sleeping Beauty.

Allen's latest is getting some surprising raves even from those who have hated his recent films. Slant's Ed Gonzalez review: "This is Woody Allen's strongest movie in at least 10 years, a fantasy about delusion rather than a deluded fantasy itself, but it's no masterwork."

Variety.com has a fascinating piece on how We Need to Talk About Kevin director Lynn Ramsay tore up her original script after financing fell through in 2008 and rewrote it for a significantly smaller budget.
