Sunday night in Tampa, during halftime of the Buccaneers-Falcons game, the Bucs inducted their inaugural coach, John McKay, to the Ring of Honor at Raymond James Stadium. McKay's name will now forever be displayed in lights next to his stand-out defensive end and the first electee into the Bucs' Ring of Honor, Leroy Selmon.
J.P. Peterson, of 1010 CBS Sports' Happy hour with J.P., made a great point on his radio show this week while speaking of McKay. While many remember John McKay for being the head coach of the first team to lose all of their regular season, it's not mentioned often enough that McKay had the Bucs in a conference championship game faster than any expansion team in history.
