Here's what we did this weekend:

We also did the inaugural Art Jones in Gulfport — an awesome studio tour of working artists in Gulfport, from names you probably know, like Tom Pitzen, to working artists you most likely don't, like Dorian Angello (but you should).
The week ahead has so much happening it's probably not a bad idea to plan it out day by day.
Tuesday
Make a mermaid crown at makeme studios. Because why not? Hey, if you want more fish-type things, why not learn to fish. Seriously, it doesn't sound holiday-esque, but come winter we have the clearest most awesome water ever, so head to Williams Pier and learn how to bait, cast and reel. Maybe you'll even catch a mermaid. Looking for something more musical, or perhaps less fishy? There's always Florida Folk Night at Old Key West.Wednesday
Humpday! Whoo-hoo. Jesus, I hate that word. It reminds me of two teenagers sneaking away from the youth group excursion to make out in one of the Bible study rooms. That's… an oddly specific image. Let's move on.Tonight is St. Petersburg Preservation's holiday party and also a Rooftop Holiday Party with New Town Connections at Station House. Go get your merry on. Tampa side, it's the perfect time for a hike at Lettuce Lake — check out their Hiking Spree.
Thursday
Over at Powerstories, Twelve looks to be the perfect holiday story — how two strangers came together over a dinner in a diner just before Christmas 1950. This is a theater deserving more attention, so bypass the traditional holiday fare and check them out. Feeling less sentimental and more silly? Disney singalong trivia awaits. The cost? Only your dignity, but after a few eggnogs, who has any of that left anyway?
Friday
Hey, it's no secret some of us here can't get enough of The Paper Seahorse, so it wouldn't feel right to not mention their Holiday Pop-Up Market that starts today. Plus, you know you want one of those travelers notebooks. Treat yo'self. Need more structure? Check out 10×10, the USF architectural student student showcase. Finally, launch yourself into the weekend with No Room at the Inn, a walking caroling group that will sing to the community's elderly and homeless and maybe find a non-commercial spark of the season in there somewhere.Annnnnd just like that, bing bam boom, you got yourself a weekend. It wasn't that hard, was it?
