The largest private collection of authenticated artwork from internationally renowned, and still somewhat anonymous, artist Banksy is coming to Tampa this summer.
Featuring over 160 original works, the Art of Banksy exhibit will arrive at the David Straz Center’s Morsani Hall Stage on Saturday, Aug. 1, and run through Sunday, Aug. 30.
Tickets start at start at $29.99 and will go on sale Thursday, May 7 at noon.
The collection, which is estimated to be worth $35 million, includes some of Banksy’s most famous pieces, like “Girl and Balloon” and “Rude Copper.”
Visitors will also get a chance to see previously unseen work for the first time, including a piece that belonged to the artist’s former girlfriend Leonie Laws, entitled “Flower Thrower,” as well as the “Mona Lisa.” Originally purchased directly from Banksy by actor Brad Pitt for his private collection, “Mona Lisa” was later returned to the artist in 2022, who then transformed it into a new piece, says a press release.
