Morrisound and Chuck Owen
The Springs Theatre has long been putting music to tape in Sulphur Springs, but Tom Morris (of world famous and recently sold Morrisound Recording space in Temple Terrace) has taken over, and built out one hell of a space at, the old bank building across the street. Grammy-nominated jazz composer Chuck Owen recently brought his new band, Resurgence, there to record demos, and we’re willing to bet that Morris’ rebirth in a rapidly-changing Tampa neighborhood will yield some great recordings in 2020.
