This restaurant in the historic Centro Espanol building in Ybor has one of the most dramatic and breathtaking dining rooms in the Bay area. Its 40-foot clerestory ceiling reflects the room’s original function before a floor was added: It served as fly space for the theater below, used to store set pieces and backdrops. Even more special than the architecture? The $10 lunch special on weekdays, which includes a fresh salad with a zesty ginger dressing and your choice of any two rolls from the sushi menu. Ample, fresh, and delicious. 1600 E. 8th Avenue, #C208, Tampa, 813-341-6688, samuraiblue.com. —David Warner
