This year we’ve seen a ton of new eateries pop up across the Bay, so here are some of our picks for the latest restaurant openings you might have missed!

If you’re hungry for a juicy burger, or ready to crack open a cold one, we’ve got some sweet new recommendations for you! From, breweries to pizza joints, it looks like some fun flavors are on the rise.

Abu Omar Halal 12208 N 56th St., Temple Terrace, 813-415-3302 Abu Omar Halal its grand opening in Temple Terrace on Aug. 15. The original location opened in Houston in 2011 as a food truck, and has since expanded throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Florida. I.C. Sharks 10020 Gandy Blvd. N, St. Petersburg, 727-914-4987 I.C. Sharks began as a seafood market and recently relaunched as a new bar and grill, serving fresh catch and ice cold drinks. Pierogi Bar 6661 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, 727-382-1212 Pierogi Bar is located in the West Central district of St. Petersburg, and serves Ukrainian delicacies, as well as a wide variety of savory perogies and even sweet and tart perogies for dessert. Angry Chair Brewing 4101 N Florida Ave., Tampa, 813-238-1122 Angry Chair reopened in Seminole heights earlier this year, now offering parking as well as food, a big improvement from their previous location. Twisted Indian 2639 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, 727-954-3872 After a long wait, Twisted Indian opened earlier this year, with a menu that ranges from tacos to Naanwiches, one of its signature dishes. Chanko 4602 N Florida Ave., Tampa, 813-770-7306 The owner of the popular Chop Chop Shop decided to make room for his newest idea, Chanko, serving fast-casual Japanese-style food (including okonomiyaki) via a self-service kiosk to reduce the need of front-of-house employees. Florish 2307 S Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, 813-251-9009 Florish, one of Tampa Bayโ€™s newest plant-based restaurants, prides its on classic dishes, such as pizzas and bowls. Although the menu is entirely vegan, the owners intended to create a menu that anyone can enjoy. Photo via Florish/Facebook
Sushi-Go 1208 Kennedy Blvd. Ste 155., Tampa, 813-221-2173 Sushi-Go recognizes the high population of Japanese people living in Brazil, and decided to provide a Brazilian-Japanese themed menu, combining the flavors of both regions. Salty Nun 2501 Central Ave., St Petersburg, 727-329-9994 The Salty Nun is co-owned by the owners of Stellaโ€™s and former restaurant Saltyโ€™s, two of Gulfportโ€™s beloved restaurants. Edge Eatery 1572 Central Ave, St. Petersburg Edge Eatery is St. Petersburgโ€™s new hub for a variety of different tastes, including an Italian concept called Carne Dโ€™Vino sangria, The Cuban Sandwicherie and Sangrias at Saint Pete. Bare Naked Kitchen 3915 Henderson Blvd., Tampa, 813-694-7291 Bare Naked Kitchen features healthy meals such as bowls, lavash (sort of like a pizza), potato truffle cauliflower crust pizzas, and big salads. Colony Grill 670 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, 727-788-5500 Boasting breakfast pies, salads, and โ€œextremely thin trust,โ€ Colony Grill is not the spot for deep-dish lovers.
