Did somebody say free pizza? Uh-huh.
That’s what PizzaFire has planned for the grand opening of its first Florida location in Tampa’s USF area. It all goes down from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, when diners who follow the fast-casual pizza franchise on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram can nab a complimentary pie with up to three toppings. Their 40 options include a selection of cheeses, organic and hydroponic produce grown on-site, meats, and house-made sauces.
With two more Sunshine State outposts scheduled to launch in November, PizzaFire — which opened its doors in the Winn-Dixie plaza at 2716 E. Fowler Ave. on Oct. 14 — specializes in create-your-own Neapolitan pizzas baked for 180 seconds in an 800-degree oven. But there’s also a lineup of signature pies for “when you don’t want to think” — among them loaded baked potato and The Cleveland (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onions, red sauce).
Award-winning pizza chefs Sean Brauser and Bruno DiFabio launched PizzaFire in 2014, catering to takeout and dine-in patrons in a speedy manner. And speaking of speedy: Delivery is available for residents in the immediate area of the new restaurant; orders can be placed online or by phone.
