A festival that's rolled into locales such as California and Maine — The Festival, to be exact — will bring its two-day craft beer lover's paradise to The Coliseum in downtown St. Pete Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17.
Hosted by Shelton Brothers, an East Coast importer of worldly beverages, festgoers will have their way with samples from more than 80 international, U.S. and Florida breweries. At least 12 of the annual festival's participants are newcomers.
While tickets range from $55 to $175, designated drivers get in for $10.
"There's a booming craft beer scene in St. Pete and Tampa (and Florida in general), and we're thrilled to bring our 'Movable Fest' to the state," according to the Shelton Brothers website.
The gathering, broken down into three sessions, is set to highlight small-batch beers, mead and ciders alongside their creators, who head breweries like Belgium's Cantillon, Buxton Brewery in England and Massachusetts' Tree House Brewing Co.
In addition to pouring and discussing their liquids throughout the event, many of the tastemakers plan to showcase exclusive offerings.
