Acropolis Taverna bringing Greek to South Tampa

The beloved Bay area Mediterranean eatery Acropolis has a new location in the works.

The newly remodeled building will open by month's end for Acropolis.

If you are craving a kabob or longing for lamb chops, you're in luck.

Acropolis Greek Taverna, the veteran Tampa restaurant brand with locations at Seventh Avenue in Ybor City and on Central Avenue in downtown St. Pete, is expanding to a new locale at 3023 W. Kennedy Blvd. in South Tampa.

The building, formerly Global A'Fare, has undergone a much-needed facelift, and the inside has been reconfigured as well. According to manager Dustin Wilson the new location will offer the same menu as its other locations. Wilson says the team's aiming for Oct. 29 for the grand opening.

Acropolis also has locations in New Tampa and Riverview.
