Jeremy Piven, the former “Entourage” star who has also been accused of multiple sexual misconduct allegations, will host a Halloween party at Tampa’s Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas on October 26.
According to a press release, “Ari Gold” will host ‘“Leather & Laces,” which will feature a contest for “best and sexiest costume” with $10,000 in cash and prizes.
At the height of the #MeToo movement in 2017, a total of eight women came forward accusing Piven of sexual misconduct and assault, all of which he has since denied.
One of his accusers, Anastasia Taneie, told Buzzfeed she was assaulted by Piven while working as an extra on the set of HBO’s “Entourage” in 2009. “Taneie, now 30, told BuzzFeed News, that Piven grabbed her breasts and genitals in a dark hallway as he forcefully pushed her up against a wall. It was an experience that she said has haunted her for years,” says the report.
With acting opportunities apparently drying up, the Emmy-winning star says he is now focusing on his stand-up comedy career, and that he’s being “blackballed” by Hollywood and journalists, calling himself “collateral damage” to the #MeToo movement.
"Who benefits from putting that story out?" said Piven to USA Today. "The problem was it was a feeding frenzy, and the editors basically said, 'Go out there. Get me more. Get me those Hollywood actors. Let's round them up.'"
General admission tickets for “Leather & Laces,” are $40 and, of course, VIP tickets are $69.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story stated that this would be a pool party, which is incorrect.
