Ever wanted to whip up the Bella Luna or Formaggio al Forno for yourself at home? Fans of Tampa-based Bella’s Italian Cafe, local and beyond, will soon be able to do so.

Bella’s co-owner Joanie Corneil, who’s also the founder and CEO of Square 1 Burgers & Bar, is set to release Bella’s, her first cookbook, before summer’s end. Signature Italian dishes of the restaurant, including the Confetti Spaghetti and Brûlée
del Lampone, help make up the new book’s more than 75 recipes.

At 224 pages, Bella’s is a collection of traditional food formulas for home cooks developed by Corneil since her SoHo staple opened its doors 30 years ago. But it’s also composed of stories from the co-owner's "culinary journey" with business partner Bill Shumate and memories made alongside the Bella's family.

“Bella is a word I came to love when living in Naples (Italy), so thirty years ago I thought it would make the perfect name for the restaurant and now the book,” Corneil said in a statement last week. “Bella’s not only shares recipes from the restaurant, it pays homage to the countless friends, family, employees and regulars that have made this dream a reality.”

The book, published by Story Farm and co-authored by Florida Trend restaurant editor Chris Sherman, may be preordered online through the Bellas website. Release events will be announced in the near future.
