Cerealholics Cafe and Bar
1909 N 15th St., Ybor City
With less than two years in service at the time, Cerealholics in Ybor City didn’t take long to attract the attention of the Bar Rescue team. During Taffer’s stint at Cerealholics, the bar ditched its nostalgia-centered theme for a more modern approach under The Loft Elevated Bar + Food. However, The Loft ending up closing due to family issues, the establishment said. Nowadays, the address is home to the popular Spookeasy Lounge.

Jon Taffer, the “Bar Rescue” host who loves to fix bars by screaming “shut it down” and adding “not one, but two two-touch POS systems, ” apparently did just that to one Ybor City restaurant, which is set to become the latest Florida establishment featured on the show.
Axios says that The Loft—still at 1909 N 15th St., former home of Ybor’s LGBTQ+ bar The Social—was the subject of an upcoming episode of “Bar Rescue,” though the air date for the show is unknown.
Gone now are Cerealholic’s cereal bar, signature burgers with Apple Jack-infused meat, replaced instead with a Loft weekend brunch menu that aims to “elevate” your breakfast with items like pancake platter, steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy—all served Saturday-Sunday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It’s non-brekkie menu includes hot chicken & waffles, an anytime breakfast sandwich, BBQ pork nachos, cheese dips and a Cuban panini.
That Jon Taffer sure has the best ideas—and don’t worry, it looks like drag shows are still on.
Hours at The Loft Elevated Bar + Food in Ybor City are Thursday 4:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m., Friday 4:30 p.m.-1 a.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-1 a.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
