A little clue as to how American Social Bar & Kitchen is coming along in Tampa? The upscale South Florida-based sports bar and restaurant announced Tuesday that it's hosting the first of two job fairs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 15 and 16, which ultimately means the delayed debut is nearing.
AmSo's last targeted opening date for The Pointe at 601 S. Harbour Island Blvd. — a 443-seat bayfront property — was summertime, after all.
Hosted in the Westin Harbour Island's first-floor Augustus Steele Conference Room, the upcoming job fair is looking to fill all front- and back-of-house positions, including a banquet and a pastry chef, bartenders, servers, line and prep cooks, dishwashers, and a lead hostess. Applicants are asked to bring a résumé and head shot to their interviews.
For those who're unfamiliar, the Americana-style dining spot that is American Social is known for its all-American comfort food, specialty cocktails and big selection of craft beer.
"We have built out American Social Tampa to be the flagship location in our portfolio of other spectacular locations in Miami and Fort Lauderdale," according to statement from AmSo co-founder Rick Mijares back in May.
